CoffMeter A1: Precision Roasting Intelligence

The CoffMeter A1 (a specialized sub-brand of DiFluid) brings industrial-grade roast analysis to both professional roasteries and dedicated home setups. By utilizing a single-point Near-Infrared (NIR) sensor, the device captures the average color of the entire sample, providing a reliable benchmark for consistency from batch to batch. Whether you are fine-tuning a production profile or verifying a home roast, the A1 delivers instant, actionable data with an accuracy of ±0.1 Agtron.

Advanced Technology & Workflow

The A1 is engineered for stability and ease of use in any environment:

  • Environmental Stability: Built-in temperature compensation ensures consistent results regardless of ambient conditions.
  • Simplified Calibration: Includes a dedicated calibration plate and distribution tool for laboratory-standard preparation.
  • Cloud Connectivity: Seamlessly sync results to the cloud and keep the device current with Over-The-Air (OTA) updates.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the A1 differ from DiFluid Omni?

While high-end models like Omni use CMOS sensors for distribution histograms, the A1 uses a specialized single-point NIR sensor to provide a precise average roast color. This makes the A1 an ideal, cost-effective tool for measuring batch-to-batch consistency.

What is the required sample size for a measurement?

For roasted whole beans, you need approximately 17–19 grams. For ground coffee analysis, a smaller sample of roughly 2–4 grams is sufficient to cover the sensor area on the double-sided tray.

Does the device require a warm-up period?

No. Thanks to advanced NIR technology and automatic temperature compensation, the CoffMeter A1 is ready to provide stable readings immediately after powering on, regardless of the environment.
