This 500ml Density Meter provides a simple, reliable, and cost-effective way to measure the physical properties of your beans. By ensuring consistent density across batches, roasters can better predict how coffee will react to thermal energy during the roasting process.
Instruction: How to Measure Density
Follow these steps to obtain the most accurate results:
- Tare the Scale: Place the empty device on your scale and press the TARE button to zero the weight.
- Fill the Device: Fill the container with coffee beans until it is slightly overflowing.
- Level Off: Gently level the top with a flat edge (like a ruler) to ensure the volume is exactly 500ml. Do not shake or compress the beans.
- Note the Weight: Read the weight result in grams (g).
- Calculate: Multiply the result by 2 to get the density in grams per liter (g/l).
Formula: [Weight in grams] × 2 = Density (g/l)
